Gamesheet Manager and Scorekeeper Info

Below there are 2 links to Training Info - one is for Managers to create an account, figure out what to do about the invitation code you got and how to load a Game, check the roster, assign a starting Goalie, have your Head Coach sign, and fix Roster errors and warnings. The other is Scorekeeper training videos for IPad Scoring App. None of these videos or links are long. The Scoring app videos focus on single issues like how to install it, how to sign in, how to check your roster, how to add a penalty, add a goal, oops, I need to delete a goal or penalty, how to end a game and get ref signatures.

GameSheet Scoring App Code to sign in to access our league Games: TBD (to be posted in October)

Scoring App Advice: Bring paper and pen/pencil. Write down what the ref tells you along with the time on the clock (we always use time on the scoreclock for all events i.e. goals and penalties). Then enter on the scoresheet. If you get stuck or the game gets complicated (like in a 18U game), often another parent (or the other team) can help you get everything entered/caught up between periods. Some refs have lots of experience, so a polite request for clarification or help between periods can be helpful.

Manager Info & Helpful HInts

NOTE 1: The league webmaster will load your roster from your USA Hockey Roster. If you add team staff or players or alternates, it is the Team Manager or Head Coaches reponsibility to have the Team Staff or Player added to your team's USA Hockey Roster and then notify your Commissioner before the game so the Team Member is added correctly. Your Commissioner will be trained on how to add team staff and players/alternates. Commissioners may levy fines for repeated failures to notify as this will cause them extra work. Gamesheet will flag any gametime adds so the Commissioner will know! Any player or Coach not on your USA Hockey Roster at Game Time will result in a game forfeit and/or further sanctions.

NOTE 2: Your schedule will be loaded by the league webmaster. Changes should be sent to your Commissioner (once both teams agree to the change) so he/she can update the schedule. DO NOT add, change or delete games!

NOTE 3: It is the responsibility of each Home Team to have an IPad with the Gamesheet App loaded for every Home Game. EAHC encourages the home and away teams to work together if for some reason, a team has a hardware or parent that owns the iPad is out of town or other issue. Games MUST be scored using the Gamesheet App. As a last resort, a home team may use a paper scoresheet (supplied by their org) for emergencies only (you may be fined for doing this more than once), have the refs sign and submit this original to their Commissioner along with typing the game into the Gamesheet App within 24 hours of the Game End. NOTE: your Commissioner will have to verify it has been typed in correctly thus causing them a lot fo work - this is why your team/org can be fined.

How Do I Change a Jersey Number after Loading the Game? Every player MUST a unique Uniform Number (if you have two with the same #, change one player with tape and update the number for this game)

Updating a Team Roster Before A Game Starts - to fix errors and warnings, adjust jersey numbers, player positions, coach positions, identify a Head Coach, mark players as suspended, Change Affiliated Players (these are ALTERNATES who, if playing, must have their status changed from "Sitting Out" or "Not Playing" to "Playing" so they are active for this Game ONLY. REMINDER: Teams must notify Commissioners so they can add a player, alternate or Coach to avoid duplicates. We are actively discouraging teams from adding at game time unless your Commissioner was unreachable. No Coach or Player or Alternate may be added unless they are on your USA Hockey Roster!

Roster Warnings and Errors - how to Find and Fix Them! Roster Errors must be fixed before Uploading. The most common errors are duplicate numbers and Head Coach not signed!

Scorekeeper Info & Helpful Hints

Read thru the Quick Start Guide as it includes signing on, loading the game from the schedule, checking rosters and making sure BOTH Head Coaches have signed before the game, scoring the game, getting refs to sign and ending and uploading the game

These training videos are quite useful as they cover more specific topics. NOTE: If you are not in a rink with good WiFi coverage, you may have to go to an area with good WiFi coverage and then upload the game.

If your team loads the wrong game, this is how to remove it. Then you can load the correct game. ONLY ONE GAME should be loaded onto your iPAD at one time.

How to Record a Penalty Shot

Goalie Info/Tips: Each Team must select a Starting Goalie. This discusses how to change Goalies mid Game, how to track shots (if your team wants to) and how to record an Empty Net Goal

OMG - The Game will not Upload!

Assigning a Player to Serve a Penalty

Minor plus Misconduct, Major plus Game Misconduct or Match Penalty and Double Minors:

Must be recorded as two penalties - the Minor on one line and the Misconduct on the next line. Same for Major plus GM or Match and also any player who received a double minor. Note the player who incurred the Minor plus Misconduct or Major plus GM or Match or Double Minor should be the uniform # on BOTH the penalties. If another player serves the Minor (or Major, see the section below about assigning a player who served a penalty. We do not want any players getting suspended because they served a penalty for another player.
