Welcome to the Empire Amateur Hockey Conference website. Our site is continuously evolving and we add content continuously. Users will be able to get news, information, schedules, rosters, game results, directions and much more. Check back frequently for the latest information! Members of the EAHC Board who supervise this league can be found on the "Contacts" page on the left hand side of this page.
This year the EAHC will manage and supervise league play for approximately 100 youth hockey teams in the greater Rochester area. Teams range from RWB 6U & 8U through Midget 18U. 6U participate in several Cross Ice Jamborees hosted by local rinks and member organizations. 6U Teams participate in 4 to 6 Jamboress starting November and running thru February. 8U/RWB play 14 Half Ice Games at the Red, White & Blue skill levels. Squirt 10U & Peewee 12U teams play a 16 game schedule at the Red, White & Blue levels (if there are sufficient number of teams to justify 3 levels) . Bantam 14U & Midget 18U teams play an 18 game (14U) and 20 game (18U) schedule. Our EAHC 2023-2024 hockey season runs from October 1, 2023 through the end of February, 2024. Most EAHC teams begin practicing in September or early October.
ALL GAMES WILL OCCUR UNLESS THE RINKS CLOSE! All teams should always have 1 coach ready to skate as a referee (with helmet, skates and whistle) just in case a car does not start, someone gets sick etc etc. Games MUST be played at 8U, 10U and 12U levels with coaches as refs if no referees are available.
NYSAHA COVID Policy - See each rink's policy.
2023-24 EAHC Playoffs for 10u thru 18u Divisions will be Feb 22-25, 2024. All teams are required to participate and not schedule ANY conflicting events.

While unlikely, there is always the possibility that one or more these dates could change in order to fit in other activities. Parents and team staff should always check before an event that no changes to dates or times have been made.
NOTE: Must be 14 to work as a referee under NYS Child Labor Laws. USA Hockey allows players who are 12 or older to register. PLayers turning 14 during the season should contact the above RIHOA members about how to start before age 14 (i.e. get certified and then be scheduled the weekend after they turn 14).
